About Fight Sticks

My Fight Sticks

I have a facination for fight sticks. Ever since I used one for the first time in college, I was amazed by the quality of the products, and with practice, execution is beautiful to behold, in both performance and look.

I have a couple fight sticks to brag about.

Foe and Hammer

Foe and Hammer
This is the oldest stick I have, a wooden stick fully crafted, painted and assembled on behalf of a Facebook shop known as FoeHammer.

First slim

Slim Stick
This is my most frequently used stick, made from ABS plastic from the cheapest vendor I can find. Some new holes were successfully drilled myself to add more buttons. It has served me well as a "D-Pad only" input method for Switch and Steam.

Modestly Mine

Modestly Yours
A newer stick in the works. The material is a lighter wood sculpted in a similar fashion to my frequent stick. I plan to add additional features to this stick and use the best circuit board I have for this.

Analog Sticks

SJ@JX

This is an analog stick in the form factor of the popular Sanwa JLF, but instead of microswitches around the shaft, it's riding on two arms rotating along two potentiometers which output a voltage difference in contrast to a binary switch.

SASI

This is a creative attempt to modify the microswitch layout on a Sanwa JLF to use the same ball-bearing method seen in the SJ@JX, but instead use magnets and linear hall effect sensors on a circuit board to output an analog voltage difference. About the SASI Stick
